In 1999 I started my journey into the field of complementary therapy when I trained in Aromatherapy at the Tisserand Aromatherapy Institute. The powerful, yet subtle effects of essential oils has always interested me, but over the years I also developed a fascination for the even more subtle energies of the body. The massage and bodywork I continued to train in led me to the exciting world of meridians and Qi, the body’s vital energy.
I graduated from the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM), gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture from Greenwich University. I’m a fully licensed acupuncturist practicing Classical Chinese Acupuncture, which allows me to take in to consideration all aspects of a person’s health and lifestyle, aiming to get to the root cause of a condition instead of just the symptoms.
I’m a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), which is the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK. I’m also a full member of the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA) and I continue to improve my skills in both Acupuncture and Aromatherapy through regular workshops, courses and study programmes.
